Xander The Great ~ Bloodhound!

der The Great Artwork!

When I look at the name XANDER THE GREAT, everything about it seems to demand my attention.  XANDER THE GREAT started out as Xander Taha, a one man show who made music primarily as a hip hop artist.  After teaming up with the reggae and hip hop producing style of Ed Sanders, a new XANDER THE GREAT was formed.  As the new UK duo experimented with developing their own signature sound over the past year, creating music around rap lyrics eventually evolved into tracks where singing was the main focus.   Through hard work and determination, their amazing new single “Bloodhound” is one impressive result.

There are a lot of great elements rolling around “Bloodhound”, from the alluring guitar strum and soft keyed intro to the waves of drum tap clapping that push the dramatic tempo changes throughout the track.  The vocals are melodic yet strong, delivering emotion in powerful bursts of scattered expressions.  “Bloodhound” is a little different from their previous released track, “Custom Love” and that is a great thing.  Both songs offer up a unique view of the type of good music they have the ability to create and only the future knows what’s in store for them.  XANDER THE GREAT, you definitely have my attention!

Born in sunny San Diego and raised in central Illinois. I graduated from the University of Illinois @Urbana-Champaign and spent the better part of 10 years in sunny Phoenix Arizona after graduation. I now reside in Savoy IL and I try to make it up to the Chicago music scene as much as I can. Music has always been a part of my life and I wouldn't have it any other way!
