The Districts ~ 4th And Roebling

The Districts A Flourish And A Spoil Artwork!

Who is THE DISTRICTS?  A buzz-worthy 4-piece band from Lititz, PA.  They are: Rob Grote (vocalist/guitarist), Connor Jacobus (bassist), Braden Lawrence (drummer) and Pat Cassidy (guitarist)!

My first impression of “4th And Roebling” :  A highly energetic and infectious rock tune with a massively aggressive yet addicting edge!

My take :  THE DISTRICTS are set to drop their second full length album, ‘A Flourish And A Spoil’, on February 10th and it is shaping out to be a great one.  I have heard amazing things from my friends about the band and after hearing “4th And Roebling”, I have to say all those praises appear justified.  “4th And Roebling” is a song with wide-reaching appeal on the surface just by the way it sounds even though the lyrics may at a glance feel rather vague.   It takes a few listens to dive a little deeper into them.  The rest of the track is very easy to digest.  After a phenomenal bass guitar lead in, the vocals grabbed me right out of the gate setting an intriguing paranoid-like mood alternating between soft and then intense vocal wails of insecurity.  Add in some bluesy guitar strums and some ear-pounding yet driving drum punches and it is clearly evident THE DISTRICTS know how to make one heck of an awesome tune to rock out to!

Born in sunny San Diego and raised in central Illinois. I graduated from the University of Illinois @Urbana-Champaign and spent the better part of 10 years in sunny Phoenix Arizona after graduation. I now reside in Savoy IL and I try to make it up to the Chicago music scene as much as I can. Music has always been a part of my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
