SUBMOTION ORCHESTRA has made music for a bit now and they recently have resurfaced with a brand new ‘1968’ EP that is quite remarkable. The unique 7-piece outfit from Leeds have always crafted beautifully powerful songs with interesting textures and compelling bass lines that easily capture my attention. And their latest track “Hard To Stay” is no exception. Rolling dazzling walls of sound over me like waves across a beachline, “Hard To Stay” keeps coming at me with one gorgeous element after the next. I love how all the different tones seems to continually build on top of one another to certain points where they are nicely reeled back in. Everything feels so natural and easy flowing. From the immaculately pristine keyed opening and the incredibly stunning lead vocals, to the R&B styled beats and that ultra smooth trumpet ending, there is a lot to like about this track. And I do. SUBMOTION ORCHESTRA has started their November ‘1968’ tour across Europe so be sure to check them out if your lucky enough to be in the area. In the meantime, pick up the new EP here!
