Life has a way of throwing mental roadblocks and obstacles at us on our journey through it and my life is no different. I like to think I have made the right choices when important decisions arise but at times it’s hard to really tell. And even though I am confident with everything I’ve done, it’s normal for me to sit back and worry about if everything is actually going according to the so-called plan. But after listening to “Anxiété” by Riverside four-piece NAIVE THIEVES, experiencing lack of sleep and inner turmoil during these moments never sounded so good. “Anxiété” is a fun and upbeat track that bursts out of the gate with the type of impeccably crisp guitar playing I absolutely love to hear. The lead vocals give the song a voice I can easily relate to, perfectly blending a feeling of uncertainty and angst with a renewed sense of control. There’s a nice air of positive energy that continuously builds throughout the track and it’s easy for me to imagine everything will work out in the end. I only wish my doubts would come and go as quickly as “Anxiété” does!
NAIVE THIEVES is Cameron Thorne (vocals, guitars), Levi Audette (lead guitar), Kyle Garcia (bass, backing vocals), and Ian Maloney (drums, backing vocals) and their amazing debut full length album, ‘Vamonos’, is now available on Cave & Canary Goods. Give them the support I think they deserve and pick up the album here! I certainly am!
