Maribou State ~ Scarlett Groove (Feat. Saint Saviour)

London based “MARIBOU STATE” is gearing up to unveil their ‘Scarlett Groove’ EP on November 12th and to wet everyone’s appetite, they have released the titled track for all to enjoy.  “Scarlett Groove” features the elegantly soulful vocals of Saint Saviour, a fantastic solo artist and short lived former lead singer of Groove Armada for those who remember.  The new tune instantly massages your audible muscles and works out your knots of tension like a well trained musical therapist.  Music samples are used sporadically throughout and creatively mixed in anchoring the almost spastic vocal moments thrown out towards the middle of the track.  The mood of the song overall is undeniably relaxing and the deep tropical grooves are nothing short of head-bobbing catchy.

MARIBOU STATE has been producing quality electronic music for a little while now and has created great remixes for the likes of Alpine, 2 Bears, Crookers and Lauren Hill.   The ‘Scarlett Groove’ EP is the next chapter for the talented duo as their artistic buzz continues it’s ascent upon the world.  “Scarlett Groove” was recently featured on the Annie Mac Presents soundcloud page and  played on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show.  It is currently being offered as a free download as part of her Free Music Mondays promotion so download your copy while it’s still available (download link provided below).   Also, make it a point to pick up the new EP when it drops next week.  It should be a great one!

Born in sunny San Diego and raised in central Illinois. I graduated from the University of Illinois @Urbana-Champaign and spent the better part of 10 years in sunny Phoenix Arizona after graduation. I now reside in Savoy IL and I try to make it up to the Chicago music scene as much as I can. Music has always been a part of my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
