Lyon Apprentice ~ I Will Find You!

Lyon Apprentice I Will Find You Artwork!

The best songs tell a personal story we can all relate to.  Whether it be about the struggles we face in life or a special memory we want to relive over again, there needs to be heartfelt emotion and real energy flowing just underneath the surface for me to really buy in.  And that’s exactly what I hear when I listen to “I Will Find You” from Queensland brother duo LYON APPRENTICE.   Substance.  Words that can speak to me and stand on their own even if there is no music at all.  “I Will Find You” tells a tale of an intense connection between two people I can envision and fully take grasp of.   As the song builds, there is an air of happiness floating on the edges mixed with an overwhelming chill of impending sadness I can sense growing inside of me.  Just like a musical tornado of feelings and passions, “I Will Find You” picks up more and more steam adding gorgeously ominous layers of piano, brass and percussive accents along the way.  Only to explode in the end into one of the best sounding indie jam-like sessions I have heard all year.

“I Will Find You” is one amazing track off a debut EP (‘Be Honest, Be Wild, Be Free’ due out early 2014) I am really looking forward to getting my ears on.  Be sure to check out the fantastic video for “I Will Find You” provided below, which really brings the track to life.  And remember the name LYON APPRENTICE as the pair look poised for an enormous 2014!

Born in sunny San Diego and raised in central Illinois. I graduated from the University of Illinois @Urbana-Champaign and spent the better part of 10 years in sunny Phoenix Arizona after graduation. I now reside in Savoy IL and I try to make it up to the Chicago music scene as much as I can. Music has always been a part of my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
