Landings ~ My Bones

Brisbane's LANDINGS!

Who is LANDINGS?  A new indie rock band from where else, Brisbane AustraliaLANDINGS is Liam Quinn, Aidan Hogg and Michael Valenta!

My first impression of “Bones” : An undeniably catchy and pensive track that makes me want to sit back and sulk whilst feeling the urge to get up and dance at the same time!

My take :  The new year has begun and I am overflowing with an energy, an excitement and a sense of anxiousness about experiencing the next solid wave of great music and finding out what part of the world this might actually come from.  And as this new journey begins, I can’t think of a better way to start everything off than featuring a band from the Brisbane scene that is overflowing with talent.  LANDINGS is a 3-piece band who describe their sound as “sad dance music” and their debut “My Bones” is the epitome of this.  Rich in contemplative words seemingly about a relationship gone awry, “My Bones” drives home thoughts of second guessing and questioning what might have been.  Leaving me with a subtle feeling of hopefulness that if the solution can somehow come to the surface, everything can be the way it should be!

Born in sunny San Diego and raised in central Illinois. I graduated from the University of Illinois @Urbana-Champaign and spent the better part of 10 years in sunny Phoenix Arizona after graduation. I now reside in Savoy IL and I try to make it up to the Chicago music scene as much as I can. Music has always been a part of my life and I wouldn't have it any other way!
