Kármán Line ~ In Autumn

Kármán Line In Autumn Artwork!

Who is Kármán Line?   An intriguing 4-piece indie electro-pop, new wavish band from London.  They are:  Maja Slatinšek (Vox/Synth), Ryan Small (Guitar/Synth), Dan Gaylard (Bass/Synth) and Sean Crossan (Drums)!

My first impression of “In Autumn” : A thought-provoking piece allowing the listener to escape or retreat to any moment or situation imaginable just by closing their eyes!

My take :  Kármán Line is a band I have followed for a while now and their title track “In Autumn”,  off of their new 4-track EP, is undeniably interesting but somewhat difficult to describe.  At least in words that would do the song justice.  Dark  and somber on the edges, “In Autumn” has an inner sense of empowerment that is emotionally blunt yet solemnly sincere.  With each listen, I get the chance to relate to the song in my own way no matter which way my mind takes me.  Whether the song is about a relationship struggling to survive or a person’s inner fight to transform into someone he/she wants to be, the beauty behind “In Autumn” is the powerfully duplicitous lyrics. Where heavy words are delivered in a gorgeously deliberate way that pushes me to not only feel but to also think along the way!

Born in sunny San Diego and raised in central Illinois. I graduated from the University of Illinois @Urbana-Champaign and spent the better part of 10 years in sunny Phoenix Arizona after graduation. I now reside in Savoy IL and I try to make it up to the Chicago music scene as much as I can. Music has always been a part of my life and I wouldn't have it any other way!
