Kaela Sinclair ~ Ghosts You’ve Won!

Kaela Sinclair Ghosts You've Won Artwork!

The semi-frantic guitar strums quickly echo out as a keyboard melody kicks in and engulfs me.   A faint beat taps in the background and builds up to a bold and steadying thump.  Thump.  Thump.  And then that moment happens.   Where my skeptical walls come crashing down all around me and I know I am all in.  Those amazing few seconds in time when the gorgeous and intoxicating vocals of KAELA SINCLAIR seem to float the opening line “take a breath of frozen air…” directly at me sending chills up and down my spine.  “Ghosts You’ve Won” carries me along as if nothing else matters.  Blind of anyone or anything around me.  Irresistibly spellbound to the compelling end.

It’s not often that I fall in love with a track on my very first listen but I did with “Ghosts You’ve Won”.  Created by the amazingly talented singer-songwriter KAELA SINCLAIR, it’s a song with emotional depth and lyrical meaning.  I love how all the different accents of sound, particularly the intense pounding of the drums and the crying-like shrill of the violins, seem to dance all around me.  Throwing impassioned feelings at me along the way.  And her voice.  There is something special about how it gets stuck in my head.  A voice I might find myself comparing others to someday.  “Ghosts You’ve Won” is one of the most mesmerizing songs I have heard in quite some time.  And it along with this under the radar artist from Denton deserves a lot more attention.  Which I believe just might be right around the corner.

Born in sunny San Diego and raised in central Illinois. I graduated from the University of Illinois @Urbana-Champaign and spent the better part of 10 years in sunny Phoenix Arizona after graduation. I now reside in Savoy IL and I try to make it up to the Chicago music scene as much as I can. Music has always been a part of my life and I wouldn't have it any other way!
