I feel like I am a week late to the game on this one but the fact remains good music is always good music no matter when I first listen to it. Sydney producer KILTER works his magic on “What I Might Do”, an epic Ben Pearce electronic house track that was massively spinning in clubs last year. And it’s a real beaut. Using his typical infusion of tropical styles, KILTER reinvents the original by slowing everything down just enough to produce an ear-pleasingly sexy groove that’s highly contagious. It’s feel good music that has me moving and dancing around before I even notice it. For most diehard house fans out there, the new version might not be overly impressive but for music lovers like me, the rework of “What I Might Do” is just the type of song I love to listen to when I want to have a good time. At any given moment, I can throw on this track and take a five-minute break from reality for a while. It’s like a vacation for my ears without any long airport security lines, hotel check-ins or money leaving my pocket. I definitely like the sound of that!
Be on the lookout for a new EP by KILTER rumored to be nearing completion. I know I will be!
